These Firework Earrings are so cute and festive whether you’re going to a backyard barbecue, a parade, or a fireworks display…you can whip up a pair in no time at all!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Glass beads of your choice (I used red, white, and blue of various shapes and sizes)
- 4-6 head pins (depending on how many dangles you want-photo tutorial shows earrings with three dangles per earring, video shows two dangles per earring)
- 2 eye pins (like a head pin but with a loop instead of a nail head)
- Jewelry tools (round nose pliers, needle nose pliers, wire cutters)
- 2 jump rings
- 2 french hooks
Step 1: Thread beads onto head pins/eye pins (I chose to put the “focal” bead onto the eye pin and the solid color beads onto the head pins which will later dangle down.
Step 2: For each of the head pins (that you beaded in step 1), bend a loop at the top with the round nose pliers. Trim any excess with wire cutters.
Step 3: Repeat for remaining beaded head pins.
Step 4: Put 2 or three dangly components onto the loop of the eye pin…you may have to pry it open a bit.
Step 5: Carefully close up eye pin loop with pliers
Step 6: With round nosed pliers, bend beaded eye pin into a loop at the top.
Step 7: Trim excess wire if needed.
Step 8: Open up jump ring…if you can’t open it with your hand, use one or two pairs of pliers to help you.
Step 9: Add beaded component and french hook and close jump ring.
